See the Good in the World

Don't you hate it when you go to church and all you hear is... "Oh, the world is so wicked and in order to be saved you have to read, read, read, READ your scriptures" and "Stay OFF the internet - it is SO bad" or "Satan is powerful, watch out!" I know I do. It's not that I'm scared it's just that I hate to focus on the negative. It's depressing.

Today, while reading the NewEra (love it) I saw this article type thing that gave ideas on how to use the Internet for good. I was so excited! I was so glad that someone finally said that the Internet is good! They said you could get a profile on mormon.org or on youth.lds.org. You could chat with other youth about the gospel and share your testimony. Or... you can post things that inspire you on your social media sites likes Facebook, MySpace, or blogger...for instance. I was so excited that I could do MISSIONARY WORK on the INTERNET! That was so exciting for me!

I have officially decided that only inspirational things will come from my posts. I want to have a blog that everyone reads and is inspired from. I've read blogs like that and it makes me happy. I want to be a hero in people's lives. When I am deciding to go to college and have to decide what career to choose, I've decided I want to impact so many people's lives. I want to be a motivational speaker and allow others the chance for their dreams to come true just like mine. I want to help children who don't come from a great family like me. I want to be the reason why a child overcomes a lousy home life and becomes an AMAZING person.

I recently did a research paper in my English class about Helen Keller. She's an example of someone who didn't let her disabilities ruin her life! She influenced so many people. She helped blinded soldiers who became blind in the war not to be afraid and taught them how to function...how to have a normal life without eye sight.

Social work is my career choice, along with many others. I want to work with kids. I want them to have a happy life like I do. Because I can't change their circumstances, I want to change how they react and how they deal with these bad events in their lives.

I also would love to be an EFY singer/speaker. That would be so fun.

I would also love to teach music or dance or theater, or all three. I want people to be able to express themselves without having others judge them. I want people to have the smae opportunities I have had in my childhood and my life. Not everyone is as fortunate as me, so to be a hero, to CHANGE a life - that is my goal.
