Isn't the Future Great?

The title of this post is totally sarcastic. I know I'm only a freshman in high school, but it seems like all of my plans for my sophomore year have changed. I chose one way, because I didn't think one way would be worth my time. Later, I learned the people who took that same path aren't the greatest people. I feel bad...but I don't want to be on that path anymore. I want to choose my other path. But it's too late. All of my plans have changed. I was so excited for high school and to meet new people, but now I just want to stick to my comfort zone. However, my comfort zone is no longer an option. It's really devastating. If only I would've known before it was too late! I just want to feel at peace with my decisions and I hope that my decisions aren't going to affect the rest of my life.

Neither of my choices are bad. But one is better. One is a lot better. Not to mention funner. I just wish I would've noticed that a few weeks ago.

I just want to be happy. I don't want to get stuck in a bad situation.

A New Love

  Recently, this year, I've got to participate in two plays. The first one, with the high school, was Once Upon a Mattress. It was the story of the Princess and the Pea. It was so fun. It was a musical, and I played a lady in waiting. I was just in the chorus, but it was so much fun. Then, with the Jr. High, I was the lead in Alienated. I played Cammie. It was just a silly one-act play, but I had so much fun and I made a lot of new friends. Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be in plays. This year my dreams have come true. I love it! It is so fun! This May, I have the wonderful opportunity to audition for Hairspray for IFYAC (Idaho Falls Youth Art Council) I am super excited and hope I get to! Wish me luck! Ah, Lovely Scarlet Pimpernel

Well, The Scarlet Pimpernel is now over. Sad life. I enjoyed it so much. You know, I don't know what it is about theatre...it doesn't even matter if you have a part or not...theatre is happiness. It brings joy. Joy to all those who participate. Joy to the actors, and joy to the audience. And there's something extra special about a musical. Music is also joy. So, double the joy! :) I feel the same way I did when I quit dance. I feel like I've been separated from my family. I feel like I've moved away from home and from everything that I love. Although this isn't quite true, I do miss my cast family very much. However, I will say...there's something extraordinary about a smaller cast. You really have time to connect and bond with each other. But I really feel like this cast was amazing. I've become so close with all of them.
