I Want to Be Like Him

I've been praying for a lot of things lately. Mostly to just try every day to be a better person. We all strive daily to become better, right? Well, I have some things that I really want to work on this school year. To start off, my theme:

Jacob 4: 4 "...that they may know that we knew of Christ,..."

Whatever I say, whatever I do...I want to take upon myself the name of Christ. When people know me, I want them to know Christ. To do this, I am going to strive for greatness. It won't be easy, and I will constantly have temptation after temptation, but I know that if I just diligently live to the best of my ability, I will succeed. To do this I will:


  • Learn to prioritize. Get all the necessary things done first, and then have fun. Stay off Facebook until all my chores and homework are done. 
  • Learn to budget my money. Don't spend so crazily. Moderation in all things.
  • Learn to be patient, and kind. This won't be easy.
  • Smile. Be a friend to all.
  • Read my scriptures and say my prayers more effectively. Write in my journal or blog regularly.
  • Learn to not procrastinate. I. WILL. Succeed.
  • Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
  • Eat healthy. Stay away from excessive sugar. 
  • Work hard. Show the world what Marci's made of.
  • Multiply my talents. Share my talents. 
  • Learn to have fun. I tend to stress out a lot. I really need to lighten up. 
  • Have a positive attitude. Learn to play "The Glad Game" and always be grateful. 
I really hope to become better in many areas this year. I want to find myself. Find out who I am and learn to love life and enjoy every minute. I want to live as if my life were to end.

A New Love

  Recently, this year, I've got to participate in two plays. The first one, with the high school, was Once Upon a Mattress. It was the story of the Princess and the Pea. It was so fun. It was a musical, and I played a lady in waiting. I was just in the chorus, but it was so much fun. Then, with the Jr. High, I was the lead in Alienated. I played Cammie. It was just a silly one-act play, but I had so much fun and I made a lot of new friends. Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be in plays. This year my dreams have come true. I love it! It is so fun! This May, I have the wonderful opportunity to audition for Hairspray for IFYAC (Idaho Falls Youth Art Council) I am super excited and hope I get to! Wish me luck! Ah, Lovely Scarlet Pimpernel

Well, The Scarlet Pimpernel is now over. Sad life. I enjoyed it so much. You know, I don't know what it is about theatre...it doesn't even matter if you have a part or not...theatre is happiness. It brings joy. Joy to all those who participate. Joy to the actors, and joy to the audience. And there's something extra special about a musical. Music is also joy. So, double the joy! :) I feel the same way I did when I quit dance. I feel like I've been separated from my family. I feel like I've moved away from home and from everything that I love. Although this isn't quite true, I do miss my cast family very much. However, I will say...there's something extraordinary about a smaller cast. You really have time to connect and bond with each other. But I really feel like this cast was amazing. I've become so close with all of them.
