It Seems Like Yesterday...

...I was singing karaoke with Crystal. It seems like yesterday I was fighting over the mirrors in the bathroom (okay...that was yesterday...). It seems like yesterday I was shoe shopping with Crystal for my brother's wedding. It seems like yesterday I was singing choir songs with Crystal. It seems like yesterday that Crystal and I went to all of these parties. It seems like yesterday when Crystal and I were fighting over the ice cream and as a result...I fell in our open crawl space. (And got a lot of scars on my back.) It seems like yesterday Crystal was telling me what I was doing wrong when making homemade macaroni. It seems like yesterday she took me to school, and played the piano for all of my performances. It seems like yesterday we made up dances and won first place in talent shows! It seems like yesterday that we had dance parties that were the coolest in town! It seems like yesterday we were both getting ready at the same time...and we both needed the gel, or the hairspray, or the brush, or the mirrors, or even the bobby pins! It seems like yesterday when I would make up silly songs and she would just laugh. It seems like yesterday she would make fun of my stupid sense of humor.

Crystal...I'm going to miss you. I know I say I won't, but we've done so much together and without you, my life wouldn't be complete. You've always been there. You've always been my friend even when I didn't have any. You've always accepted me the way that I am. You tell me I look cute and that you love me. You tell me my singing voice is the best and that there's no one better. You tell me that you'll always be there, and I believe it. 

I know you're not moving out, yet, but when you move away and go to college and have a family and cute little kids for me to take care of, I will miss you deeply.


You're my best friend and you always will be.

A New Love

  Recently, this year, I've got to participate in two plays. The first one, with the high school, was Once Upon a Mattress. It was the story of the Princess and the Pea. It was so fun. It was a musical, and I played a lady in waiting. I was just in the chorus, but it was so much fun. Then, with the Jr. High, I was the lead in Alienated. I played Cammie. It was just a silly one-act play, but I had so much fun and I made a lot of new friends. Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be in plays. This year my dreams have come true. I love it! It is so fun! This May, I have the wonderful opportunity to audition for Hairspray for IFYAC (Idaho Falls Youth Art Council) I am super excited and hope I get to! Wish me luck! Isn't the Future Great?

The title of this post is totally sarcastic. I know I'm only a freshman in high school, but it seems like all of my plans for my sophomore year have changed. I chose one way, because I didn't think one way would be worth my time. Later, I learned the people who took that same path aren't the greatest people. I feel bad...but I don't want to be on that path anymore. I want to choose my other path. But it's too late. All of my plans have changed. I was so excited for high school and to meet new people, but now I just want to stick to my comfort zone. However, my comfort zone is no longer an option. It's really devastating. If only I would've known before it was too late! I just want to feel at peace with my decisions and I hope that my decisions aren't going to affect the rest of my life. Neither of my choices are bad.
