Dreams

Everyone has dreams...I can honestly say that I have not always had the same dreams. When I was little, I wanted to be a famous singer. Now, I know that that is not for me. However, I still want to be a role model. I want to make an impact in lots of people's lives. I was watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition one time and they built a house for a family who took in children off the street and taught them to box to keep them away from drugs, and gangs, and just bad influences. Well, this is basically what I want to do, except not with boxing. I want to bring children and teenagers off the street and teach them to sing or to dance or to act. Children can't always change their circumstances, but I want to help them change their attitude about life. Some children don't think that they will ever amount to something. I 've been told my whole life I can do whatever I want. I want all kids to feel that way. I want to save a child's life, or a few. I'm pretty excited

Lean on Me

I read an entire 278 page book today. I don't know why I loved it so much. It was by Jack Weyland. Jack Weyland is an LDS author, and I usually love his novels, but this time I related a ton to this book. I know this book looks cheesy, but it really got me thinking. Here's the story: What do you get when you take two girls and three guys with great voices and lively personalities and combine them with some good old songs like “Boardwalk” and “Stand by Me”? In Rexburg, Idaho, it all adds up to Fast Forward, the a cappella group that features lead singer Amber Whittaker, and the strong, supportive bass, Greg Foster. Best friends Amber and Greg exchange advice on everything best friends can—dating, music, friends, etc. In Jack Weyland’s new novel, Lean on Me, Greg finds himself falling for Amber, who thinks of him only as a buddy. The best-selling author recounts the story of their relationship as they mature, perform in a popular musical group, and learn to cope with the cha

Hmm...

So...lately, I've had a rough time deciding what to blog about. I've learned that pictures are so annoying, because we are running out of space on our computer...so only if absolutely necessary :) Now...I am just goint to type and whatever "jibberish" comes out of my fingers is what you'll be reading, whether it's entertaining or not. Well, Crystal's graduated, but she still is partying like no other! She went on 2 dates in the past 2 days, with 2 different people! Talk about popular! I met my new nephew, Brigham today! He is such a precious baby! So cute. I'm going to a sweet 16 birthday party tomorrow! This makes me excited for my birthday in 8 months...when I turn 16! Can you believe it? I'm already planning this thing. Desperate? Yes. My adorable nephew, Noah is 2 and is talking like crazy and has the cutest laugh! We went to Broulim's today...I haven't been there in a while. And we got 4 different kinds of icecream. Yum!

It Seems Like Yesterday...

...I was singing karaoke with Crystal. It seems like yesterday I was fighting over the mirrors in the bathroom (okay...that was yesterday...). It seems like yesterday I was shoe shopping with Crystal for my brother's wedding. It seems like yesterday I was singing choir songs with Crystal. It seems like yesterday that Crystal and I went to all of these parties. It seems like yesterday when Crystal and I were fighting over the ice cream and as a result...I fell in our open crawl space. (And got a lot of scars on my back.) It seems like yesterday Crystal was telling me what I was doing wrong when making homemade macaroni. It seems like yesterday she took me to school, and played the piano for all of my performances. It seems like yesterday we made up dances and won first place in talent shows! It seems like yesterday that we had dance parties that were the coolest in town! It seems like yesterday we were both getting ready at the same time...and we both needed the gel, or the hairspra

My Week!

Well...it seems like with Whitney as my best friend, I have so much more fun than I ever did combined...all 15 years of life! I had a super fun sleepover with Whitney and Ashlee at Whitney's house! Oh yeah...and Whitney and I went to Emotionography at the high school! That was amazing! That was so fun....we were all high on air and it was so fun! Then we went to the Troylairs service project/luncheon. It was a blast! Then later that night...Whitney and I went to the Mindy Gledhill concert! It was so inspirational and AMAZING! Mindy has such a sweet spirit. When she came to speak to us on Friday, she told us how when she was in high school she would try out for all sorts of things and then she wouldn't make it. She said when she was applying for the BYU School of Music, she was rejected two times before she finally was accepted. She said she wouldn't do anything else, though, because that is what she was passionate about. She then told us to dream big and work hard tow
